Online Excel Editor gives you a simple spreadsheet grid for creating and editing Excel files without installing Office. Start from a blank sheet of 10 rows and 5 columns, or import an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file, then type into any cell, add or remove rows and columns, and name the sheet. When you are done, download the result as an .xlsx workbook or a CSV file. It is designed for quick edits to plain table data rather than formatting or calculation, and the file is opened and saved in your browser, so it never leaves your device.
Start or import
Use the blank grid, press Load sample, or import an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file. The first sheet of a workbook is loaded.
Edit the cells
Click any cell to type. Add row and Add column extend the grid; Remove row and Remove column take off the last one without clearing the rest.
Download
Set the sheet name and output name, then press Download .xlsx or Download CSV.
No. Every cell holds text, so a formula such as =SUM(D2:D5) is saved as typed rather than calculated. Use the editor for entering and correcting values, not for working out totals.
Yes. Import an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file and its first sheet opens in the grid, with each cell showing the value the workbook displays.
