Line Sorter puts a list in order and cleans it up in the same step. Paste one item per line, choose Alphabetical, Natural or Numeric sorting, and set the direction to ascending or descending. Comparison is number-aware, so item2 comes before item10, and Numeric mode orders lines that are plain numbers, including decimals and negatives, by value. Toggles trim whitespace, remove empty lines, remove duplicates and ignore case, with counters for what was removed. Equal lines keep their original order, and Use output as input sets up another pass. Sorting runs in your browser, so the list is never uploaded.
Paste your list
Put one item per line in Raw line list. Load sample shows a mix of words and numbers.
Choose how to sort and clean
Pick a sort mode and direction, then tick Trim line whitespace, Remove empty lines, Remove duplicates or Ignore case.
Copy the result
The sorted list updates instantly. Press Copy output, or Use output as input to sort it again.
Tick Remove duplicates. The first occurrence of each line is kept and later copies are dropped; with Ignore case on, Apple and apple count as the same line, and with trimming on, leading or trailing spaces don’t prevent a match.
Natural sorting treats runs of digits as numbers, so file2 comes before file10 and version 1.9 before 1.10. A plain character-by-character sort would put file10 first, because 1 comes before 2.
Use it for lists of plain numbers such as prices, scores or measurements, including decimals and negative values. Write them without thousands separators: a line like 1,000 is not read as a number and falls back to text order.
