Text Paraphraser rewrites wording in one of four tones: Simple, Formal, Casual or Technical. It is a rule-based tool, not an AI rewriter: each style has a short built-in list of phrase and word substitutions, such as “in order to” becoming “to” in Simple, or “help” becoming “assist” in Formal. Matching words are swapped with their capitalisation kept, sentence structure stays the same, and a counter shows how many changes were made. The same input and style always give the same result, so it suits quick tone adjustments rather than full rewrites. Your text is processed in the browser and never uploaded.

No. It applies a fixed list of word and phrase substitutions for each style, so the results are predictable and nothing is generated. For a deeper rewrite, edit the output by hand.
Each style recognises a handful of phrases and a dozen or so words, and it matches exact word forms, so in Formal help changes but helps does not. Sentences without those words come back unchanged.
No, and it isn’t designed to. The sentence structure and most of the wording stay the same, so the source remains recognisable. Quote and cite other people’s work instead.
Occasionally. Words are replaced without looking at their context, so an article such as a or an, or a word used as a noun rather than a verb, may need fixing. Always read the result before using it.
