CSV ↔ JSON converts CSV to JSON and JSON back to CSV as you type. In CSV to JSON mode the first row becomes the object keys and every value is kept as a string. In JSON to CSV mode you can paste an array of objects, a single object or an object with a data array, and every key becomes a column. Quoted fields are parsed properly, nested objects are written into cells as JSON text, and the result can be copied, downloaded under your own file name or reversed in one click. Nothing is uploaded — the conversion runs in your browser.
Pick a direction
Choose CSV to JSON or JSON to CSV. Each button loads a short sample so you can see the expected format.
Paste your data
Replace the sample with your own CSV or JSON. The output and the row and column count update as you type.
Copy or download
Press Copy output, or type a file name and press Download output. Reverse using output sends the result back the other way.
Nested objects and arrays are not flattened into extra columns. Each one is written into its cell as JSON text, so no data is lost and the CSV keeps one row per record.
CSV has no data types, so every value is kept as a string exactly as written. This also preserves leading zeros in IDs, postcodes and phone numbers.
Every key found in any object becomes a column, in the order it first appears. Records that lack a key get an empty cell.
Commas. Values wrapped in double quotes can contain commas, quotes and line breaks. For tab-separated data, convert it first with CSV ↔ TSV.
