PDF to Text extracts the selectable text from a PDF so you can copy it, edit it or save it as a .txt file. Read every page or a range such as 1-3, 7, then review the result page by page: each page gets its own editable card, you can search across them, and untick any page you want to leave out. Export the pages as one merged block or as sections headed with their page numbers. The text is read with PDF.js in your browser, so the document never leaves your device.
Choose a PDF
Drop the file into Source PDF and pick All pages or Specific pages.
Extract the text
Press Extract text. Each page appears as an editable card that you can search, include or remove.
Copy or download
Use Copy text or Download TXT. Keep Merge selected pages ticked for one block, or untick it for page-by-page sections.
A scan is a picture of a page, so there is no text layer to read. Turn the pages into images with PDF to JPG, then run them through Image to Text (OCR).
No. The words on each page are joined into one block of plain text, so columns, tables and fonts are not kept. You can tidy the result in the edit box before exporting.
