UUID Generator creates random version 4 UUIDs, also known as GUIDs, using your browser’s built-in crypto.randomUUID function. Generate between 1 and 100 at a time, then format them the way the next system expects: uppercase, without hyphens, or wrapped in curly braces for Windows-style GUIDs. Choose one per line, comma-separated or a JSON array, then copy a single ID, copy the whole batch or download it as a text or JSON file. Regenerate batch gives you a fresh set instantly, and nothing is sent to a server.
Set the count
Enter how many UUIDs you need, from 1 to 100. A new batch is generated straight away.
Choose a format
Tick Uppercase, Remove hyphens or Wrap in braces, and pick One per line, Comma-separated or JSON array.
Copy or download
Copy a single UUID, press Copy all, or name the file and press Download.
Version 4, which is made from 122 random bits and is what most apps and databases mean by a random UUID. It does not create time-based versions such as v1 or v7.
They are the same 128-bit identifier. GUID is Microsoft’s name for it and is often written in upper case inside curly braces, which the Uppercase and Wrap in braces options produce.
In theory, yes, but with 122 random bits the chance is so small that version 4 UUIDs are treated as unique in practice. These come from your browser’s cryptographically secure random generator.
Tick Remove hyphens to get the compact 32-character hexadecimal form, useful for databases, file names or URLs that do not expect dashes.
