HTML ↔ Markdown converts HTML to Markdown and Markdown to HTML in one workspace. Pick a direction and the output updates as you type: HTML becomes Markdown with # headings, dash bullets and fenced code blocks, while Markdown becomes HTML using GitHub-flavoured syntax, including tables and strikethrough. A sandboxed live preview renders the result so you can check it reads correctly, and Reverse using output feeds the result back in the other direction to test a round trip. The conversion runs in your browser with Turndown and Marked, so nothing is sent to a server.

No. In the HTML to Markdown direction only the cell text is kept, not a pipe table. Markdown tables do convert to proper HTML table markup in the other direction.
Markdown to HTML treats single line breaks as hard breaks, so text written line by line keeps its shape instead of running into one paragraph.
The preview renders inside a sandboxed frame with scripts disabled, so pasted markup cannot run code on the page.
