Watermark PDF stamps text such as CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT or your company name across the pages of a PDF. Choose a repeating grid that covers the whole page or a single centred mark, then set the font size, opacity, rotation, colour and grid spacing while a live preview shows the result. Apply it to every page or only a range like 1-3, 7, and type {page} to put the page number inside the mark. The watermark is written into the PDF with pdf-lib in your browser, so the document is never uploaded.

Not if you keep the opacity low. The mark is drawn on top of each page at 5–70% opacity, and a value around 10–20% keeps the text underneath easy to read.
The watermark is added as text on the page rather than flattened into an image, so someone with a PDF editor could delete it. Treat it as a clear visible label, not as copy protection.
