DOCX to HTML converts a Word document into clean, semantic HTML. It reads the .docx with Mammoth in your browser and maps Word’s structure to tags: heading styles become <h1> to <h6>, and lists, tables, links, bold and italic text come through as matching markup. Images are embedded straight into the HTML, so the file works on its own. Choose a full HTML document or a fragment for pasting into a CMS, and optionally keep empty paragraphs. Fonts, colours and page layout are left out on purpose. The output is sanitised, shown in a sandboxed preview and never uploaded.
Pick the options
Choose Full HTML document or HTML fragment, and tick Preserve empty paragraphs before loading if blank lines matter.
Load the Word file
Drop a .docx file on the drop area or choose it. The HTML and a sandboxed preview appear straight away.
Copy or download
Press Copy HTML, or Download HTML to save an .html file named after your document.
The converter relies on Word’s built-in heading styles. Text that was only made large or bold by hand has no heading style, so it becomes a <p>; apply Heading 1, Heading 2 and so on in Word, then convert again.
They are embedded in the HTML as base64 data, so the page shows them without separate image files. This makes the file larger, so swap them for hosted image URLs if you are publishing.
No. Only the structure is converted, which keeps the HTML clean and lets your website’s own styles take over.
Notes from the parser, usually about Word styles it has no HTML mapping for. The text is still converted; the message tells you which formatting was ignored.
