DOCX to Markdown turns a Word document into an editable .md file. The document is read with Mammoth and rewritten as Markdown: headings use # marks, bold and italic become ** and _, links stay as links, and tables are rebuilt as pipe tables with the first row as the header. Pick dash or asterisk bullet markers and fenced or indented code blocks to match your style guide, and keep empty paragraphs if spacing matters. Images are replaced with [Image: alt text] placeholders. A live preview renders the Markdown, and the whole conversion runs in your browser.

Yes. Each table becomes a pipe table with the first row as the header. Cells are flattened to plain text, so line breaks or formatting inside a cell are not kept.
Images are not exported. Each one becomes a placeholder such as [Image: alt text], or [Image omitted] when it has no alt text, so you can add the image files and links by hand.
Both render the same way. Pick whichever your project’s linter or style guide expects; the choice applies to every list in the file.
